Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of Prismatic API, including the website, dashboard, API keys, AI model access, subscriptions, wallet credits, support and related services.

PaymentsClear billing

Subscriptions, wallet credits, renewals, cancellations and refunds are explained before purchase and in these Terms.

AI safetyStrict use rules

Illegal, harmful, abusive, sexual, NSFW and rights-infringing AI uses are prohibited.

SupportSupport email

Contact support at support@prismaticapi.com for account, billing, refund, cancellation or abuse questions.

1. Agreement and eligibility

These Terms form a binding agreement between you and Prismatic API. By creating an account, purchasing a plan, adding wallet credits, generating an API key or using the API, you agree to these Terms and to the Acceptable Use Policy.

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction, and able to enter into a binding agreement. If you use Prismatic API for a company, organization or client, you represent that you are authorized to bind that organization.

2. The service

Prismatic API provides an OpenAI-compatible API surface, dashboard, model catalog, API key management, subscription quotas, usage visibility, wallet billing where available, and support workflows. The service routes requests to third-party AI model providers and infrastructure providers selected by Prismatic API.

Public model identifiers shown by Prismatic API may differ from upstream provider model identifiers. Model availability, latency, context windows, capabilities, output quality, supported modalities, safety filters and prices can change because the service depends on upstream providers.

3. Accounts, organizations and API keys

You are responsible for all activity under your account, organization and API keys. Keep passwords, sessions, API keys and access tokens confidential. Do not publish API keys in client-side code, public repositories, logs, prompts, screenshots or support tickets unless specifically requested through a secure support process.

You must promptly notify support@prismaticapi.com if you believe an account or API key has been compromised. Prismatic API may revoke keys, require password resets, limit requests or suspend access when needed to protect users, providers or the platform.

4. Plans, quotas and rate limits

Plans may include request quotas, rolling usage windows, model access rules, model request weights, context limits, token limits and rate limits. A request may be refused when a plan does not include the selected model, when a quota or rate limit is exceeded, when a wallet is underfunded, or when usage cannot be priced or accounted for reliably.

Quotas and wallet billing are usage controls, not guarantees of uninterrupted capacity. Prismatic API may apply additional safeguards to prevent fraud, abuse, unexpected cost spikes, provider incidents or platform instability.

5. Payments, subscriptions and wallet credits

Paid features may be billed as subscriptions, usage-based charges, prepaid wallet credits, top-ups or one-time payments. Prices, billing periods, taxes, supported currencies and payment methods are displayed at checkout or in the dashboard before purchase. Third-party payment processors, merchant-of-record providers, card networks, PayPal, crypto payment providers or other checkout partners may process payments where applicable.

Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date through the available account, checkout-provider or support flow. Wallet credits are applied to eligible usage where supported and are not a bank account, stored-value account or cash deposit. Failed payments, chargebacks, suspected fraud or payment-provider reversals may result in suspension, downgrade, wallet hold, key revocation or collection of unpaid amounts.

6. Cancellations and refunds

You may request cancellation or billing help at support@prismaticapi.com. Cancelling a subscription stops future renewals but does not automatically refund the current billing period unless required by law, stated at checkout, or approved by support for a documented billing error or service issue.

Wallet credits, crypto payments and consumed API usage are generally non-refundable once confirmed or used, except where required by law or where Prismatic API approves an exception. If a payment provider or merchant of record applies a different mandatory refund rule at checkout, that rule controls the payment transaction.

7. Acceptable use and prohibited AI content

You must comply with the Acceptable Use Policy and all applicable laws. You are responsible for prompts, files, inputs, outputs, integrations, end users and decisions made using the service. You may not use Prismatic API to generate, request, distribute, automate or facilitate prohibited content or activity.

The following uses are prohibited, including attempts to bypass filters, policy checks, rate limits, provider restrictions or account controls:

  • Illegal activity, fraud, phishing, credential theft, malware, cyber abuse, evasion of safety controls or instructions for wrongdoing.
  • Sexually explicit, pornographic, NSFW, sexualized minors, non-consensual intimate, sexual solicitation, sexually suggestive image/video generation or erotic content.
  • Hate, harassment, threats, exploitation, graphic violence, self-harm facilitation, abuse of vulnerable groups or content that violates rights, safety or dignity.
  • Impersonation, deepfakes, deceptive media, biometric identification, surveillance or regulated decisions without lawful basis and required consent.
  • Infringement of intellectual property, privacy, publicity, confidentiality or contractual rights.
  • High-risk professional advice or automated decisions in legal, medical, financial, employment, housing, insurance, credit or similar areas without appropriate human review and legal compliance.

8. User content, outputs and responsibility

You retain any rights you have in your inputs and are responsible for having the rights, permissions and lawful basis needed to submit them. Subject to your compliance with these Terms, you may use outputs for your lawful business or personal purposes, but Prismatic API does not guarantee that outputs are accurate, unique, non-infringing, safe or suitable for any particular use.

AI outputs may be incorrect, incomplete, offensive, biased or similar to content generated for others. You must review outputs before relying on them, publishing them, making decisions with them or providing them to end users.

9. Privacy and data processing

The Privacy Policy explains how Prismatic API collects, uses and shares personal data. API requests and related metadata may be processed by Prismatic API and third-party AI providers, payment providers, hosting providers, email providers and support tools as needed to provide, secure, bill and improve the service.

Do not submit sensitive personal data, protected health information, payment card data, government identifiers, secrets or confidential third-party data unless you have a lawful basis and the service documentation explicitly supports that use.

10. Service changes, suspension and termination

Prismatic API may add, remove, rename, disable or change plans, models, endpoints, prices, quotas, wallets, supported countries, providers and features. When practical, material changes are communicated through the website, dashboard, email or documentation.

Prismatic API may suspend or terminate access immediately for abuse, prohibited content, payment risk, provider policy violations, security incidents, unlawful activity, excessive operational risk or breach of these Terms. You may stop using the service at any time and may request account closure through support.

11. Availability, disclaimers and liability

The service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. Prismatic API does not warrant uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, model output quality, provider availability, compatibility with every client, or that outputs will meet your requirements.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Prismatic API is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, business interruption, reputational harm, downstream AI decisions or third-party provider failures. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid to Prismatic API for the service giving rise to the claim during the three months before the event.

12. Contact and updates

Questions about these Terms, billing, cancellations, refunds, abuse reports or account access should be sent to support@prismaticapi.com. Prismatic API may update these Terms from time to time. The updated date above shows the latest version, and continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

Prismatic API gives developers one unified endpoint surface with subscription quotas, PAYG wallet billing, card, PayPal and crypto payments, plus live usage visibility.
